INORYS®

INORYS®, our exclusive stainless steel surface finishing process, significantly improves scratch and corrosion resistance and produces hardened steel parts.

INORYS® hardening

not only results in improved durability, but also allows

  • to eliminate surface fading
  • to eliminate the usual protections associated with handling and transporting the exterior elements
  • to eliminate, during production and in the shop, the need for re-surfacing associated with various handling processes
  • d’améliorer la résistance au vieillissement des post-traitements déposés par voie sèche (DLC )
  • to reduce the coefficient of friction in wear parts
    (e.g., rotating bezel)

INORYS®

Process for producing hardened steel

INORYS® is applied at low temperature to surfaces and the immediate underlying structure (up to 50 µm deep). The quality of the finishes previously executed by the customer (polished, satin-finished, micro blasted, alternating) is fully preserved. This process includes a structural hardening phase.

INORYS®

in addition to DLC/PVD coatings

INORYS®, a process used to produce hardened steel, is particularly effective on cladding components that undergo DLC post-treatment (black or another color), as it improves both the coating’s adhesion and its impact resistance. We handle all subcontracting and quality control for DLC treatments.

INORYS® Applications

The INORYS® process is applicable to all exterior components made of stainless steel

  • back, caseband, bezel
  • crown, push-piece, visible screws
  • bracelet: buckle and pin, clasp, link, strand
  • movement components

Materials Suitable for Processing

Are suitable for INORYS®Phynox® alloy :

  • Steels in the 304/316/904 austenitic families
  • High-alloy alloys (Ni, Cr-based)
  • austeno-ferritic stainless steels
  • l'alliage PhynoxPhynox® alloy

MTS Expertise

Inspections

A key service that is repeated throughout the INORYS®process. Your parts are inspected in their entirety.

Testing

To ensure consistent quality in the treatment of hardened steel parts, we regularly perform reliability tests (wear and corrosion) according to the most stringent market requirements reliability tests (wear and corrosion) in accordance with the most stringent market requirements.

Compliance

If deficiencies are identified after DLC processing, a process of a compliance restoration process will be initiated.
